- External microphone: the 3.5mm jack on the Quattro2 can be configured, through the Audio Setup Utility, to be used with external speakers and/or microphone. The user will have the ability to define this jack for the following parameters:
o External speakers (default)
o External microphone with following options:
- Mic level
- Phantom yes/no (3V)
- Line Level such as a wireless lavaliere
- Control the sensitivity of the microphone.
- In room sound reinforcement (“voice lift”).
o External microphone and external speakers.
- New features (Daisy Chain functionality)The unlimited daisy chain capability, which is unique to Phoenix, is even better now. The new Quattro2 allows the user to:• Turn the whole chain on by turning the master on (can be turned on by software).
• Turn the whole chain off from any unit in the chain (can be turned off by software).• Mute and UnMute the entire chain from any unit in the chain• Volume Up / Volume Down from any unit in the chain.• Charging a slave unit through the master when the units are not used (hibernation).
- Upgradeability
The Quattro2 is downwards compatible but it is implemented on a redesigned board so old units cannot be upgraded to include the same features.
• In the Daisy Chain mode old units can be chained with new units. However, the new feature which allows controlling the chain from any unit (like On/ Off, Mute and Volume) will not work when an old unit is part of the chain.
• Phoenix will continue to support the old units
• Current version Quattro will be replaced by same version if a service replacement is required.
